The short version

An American set needs 152 tiles with 8 Jokers, four racks and pushers. Most ship 166 with spares.
Melamine is the durable playing standard; acrylic is for decorative sets.
A neoprene mat around 31 to 33 inches fits a standard card table.
The NMJL card is sold separately by the League and changes every year.
