Our aim
Every guide on MahjongKit should be useful even if it were the only page you ever read on the subject. We publish fewer, stronger articles rather than many thin ones.
Accuracy
- Educational articles are reviewed for clarity and accuracy before publication.
- Rules articles are checked against reliable current sources. Where practice varies between groups, we say so instead of manufacturing certainty.
- We describe American Mahjong as commonly played with the National Mah Jongg League card. The card and the League's official materials remain the authoritative source, and we link to the League so readers can obtain them.
- We do not reproduce the NMJL card or its hands.
Time-sensitive information
Product details, prices, online platforms, subscriptions, directories and tournament information change. Pages containing such claims are reviewed before publication and marked for re-verification during updates. Where we cannot verify a current price we give an approximate range or omit it rather than guess.
Product content
We do not claim to have hands-on tested a product unless we actually did. Where recommendations are based on comparing specifications, materials, features and community feedback, we say so on the page. We do not invent scores, ratings or testimonials.
