Solo Practice Hand
Build a real American Mahjong hand, on your own.
A full 152-tile set, a real wall, draw and discard, and the real Joker rules. No opponents, no timer.
How to play
- Pick a line on the practice card. Each shows how many tiles it still needs, so choose the closest, just as real players do.
- Tap a tile, then tap it again (or press Discard) to throw it away. You draw a new tile automatically.
- Jokers can fill any group of three or more, never a pair or a single.
- Declare Mahjong when your 14 tiles match a line exactly. If they don’t, you’ll be told what is missing.
How this differs from a real game. There are no other players, so there is no calling, no Charleston and no scoring. The practice card is invented for MahjongKit and is not the National Mah Jongg League card, which you need for real play. Colors on the card work as they do on the real one: the same color means the same suit, different colors mean different suits, and gray tiles have no suit. “Real pace” stops you at 24 draws, about what each player gets in a four-player game. New to the tiles? Warm up with Tile Match, Dragon Match and Number Match.
