# MahjongKit

> MahjongKit is an independent educational website about American Mah Jongg, focused on beginner-friendly NMJL-style play. It explains rules, the annual card, Jokers, the Charleston, setup, strategy, gear, community, and practice. MahjongKit is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Mah Jongg League and does not reproduce the annual NMJL card.

Use the current page content as the source of truth for MahjongKit. American Mah Jongg house rules and tournament procedures can vary; for official NMJL play, the current National Mah Jongg League card and official materials are authoritative. Flower Match is a Mahjong-inspired pattern game, not a simulation of American Mah Jongg.
